Dear
Victoria,
I
am writing to you to tell about my new life in America. It is country of our
future. America is thriving country. My trip to my new home was really long
and the most length of this trip I was dreaming about how it would be.
First
of all, I wasn’t aware of the fact that we had to leave our home to the time we
went to the trip. Moreover, when border guard took our passports and stamped
it in that moment I understood that we really set out and from that time
we became refugees.
Also,
I would like to thank you for your recommendations. When we stopped off
at Ellis Island, we all tried to do as you said and it was really quickly. Then
we got around to Ney York. It is so stunning and different of my
native town. Unfortunately, the air is not very clean and my mom always tell me
not to be on the open air all the time, because it does not me good.
Hear you can see some photos of my new street and a map to see how great
journey we did.
In
addition, I tried new dishes. American cuisine is so different to my native. As
you told me, I tried Egg Cream. It is remarkably diverse of all
that I tried earlier. Also, my parents wanted me to go to school, so I do not work
but must help my family and do all household chores. We have so much work to do
and I totally do not laze around. Sometimes when I feel that I am bottle
out, I get away from it all. One of my favorite entertainment is black-and-white
movies.
In
a place where we live, I have many friends. Most of inhabitants of our block
are the same ethnic minorities as we are. Therefore, I do not feel nostalgia.
There
is a stereotype that moving from native country is really huge cultural
shock. But not for me. I am happy to be there. I hope that you can say the
same. Write me soon.
With
love,
Bella
